Most of us use digital technology from the moment we wake up in the morning. We check our emails and social media accounts, top up our bus pass online and pay our bills using banking apps while drinking our first coffee of the day.
For some people though, the benefits of being connected can seem out of reach. For example, they may not have access to the internet or new devices, or they may not have skill or confidence in using new technologies.
We need to make sure all Australians have the opportunity to participate, stay connected and use technology if they want to.
We want to hear from you on how you see technology affecting society and opportunities to make the most of the benefits that digital technologies present for each of us and for society as a whole.
Here are some questions to get you started:
What are the challenges or risks that are holding Australians back from engaging more online? Who is at risk being left behind and why?
What ways has your life improved through digital technologies?
How do you see different generations using digital technologies?
