Free or paid Wifi in Public Transport
Sydney ferry and and Central Station are currently providing free wifi hotspot. https://transportnsw.info/travel-info/using-public-transport/wifi-hotspots
This service can be expanded to all buses, trains, bus stops, train stations and ferry wharfs.
Providing free Internet / WiFi hotspot can be expensive. So NSW Transport can can charge $10/month or $100/year for higher bandwidth and download limit. This can be associated with Opal account. Seniors can be considered to get cheaper pricing. The Free WiFi hotspot service can stay with limited bandwidth and with total download limits.
This service can become a conflict of interest with Telstra Air service.
Why the contribution is important
Provide easy and free Internet access in public transports and public places.
