Bulk buy deal

Funded and backed by the Government, the bulk buy deal gives you a discount on digital software so you can access lower monthly subscription prices or a longer complimentary trial period to try digital software.

Why the contribution is important

What businesses have told us: "I’ve thought about trying different digital tools to transform my business but I just can’t justify the cost and a one-month trial isn’t enough to see the benefit for my business. If I get multiple subscriptions the costs really add up."

Government can't really be endorsing particular software. So many issues with this. Plus many companies already do this.

"Digital software" is quite vague and as per the other comments, a bulk buy deal isn't really very feasible. However, this idea could be improved if there was some accreditation scheme for the softwares. In that case, the government could run a marketplace of subsidised softwares.

14-30 day trials are nowhere near long enough to see how a product can work for you. I always ask for extended trial periods and if not provided I'm happy to pay for 1-2 months to know if it's a good product. This is great i'm just not sure how...
