Digital Advisor Training

Digital Advisor Training sessions are small group sessions designed to equip people who provide advice to businesses (business advisors and others)  with the skills and knowledge to provide the most up-to-date digital advice. The Digital Advisor Training sessions are delivered by experts and backed by government.

Why the contribution is important

What trusted advisors have told us: "As an accountant I'm now being asked questions that are out of my traditional comfort zone. Some of these questions are about going digital. I need to upskill my knowlege or at least direct my clients to trusted information sources."

this is a specialised area and you could really get yourself in trouble if you don't take is as an emerging new service offering, not just a little bit of knowledge as it could lead to some huge failures and issues. Its more than just the tool, its about the entire strategy and the technology strategy fitting into this piece

I don't mind this idea - could it be combined or draw on lessons learned from what the ATO is doing with it's Let's Talk platform? It already has a few platforms on which business advisers meet and discuss business related issues.

One issue from my perspective is there is already a great deal of free online stuff that gives digital advice, e.g.[…]tal+tools+in+your+business. But maybe this initiative is aimed at people who don't tend to use that kind of medium, and is really about making them aware that such things exist :)

There are so many places accountants/trusted advisors can already go....all they need to do is leave their office and turn up at the ABE conference for example to get 2 days of FREE learning. It's already there if they really wanted it.
