Digital Best Practice Guides for Business Sectors

The Digital Best Practice Guides for Business are a suite of information packs developed by industry bodies for their industry (i.e. retail, manufacturing etc.) and funded by government. Digital technologies are not a ‘one size fits all’ across all industry sectors. The Digital Best Practice Guides for Business Sectors are resources that you can draw on to find out about the latest digital developments, apps, tools and services in your specific industry.

Why the contribution is important

What businesses have told us: "I don’t know where to find up-to-date, easy to understand information tailored to my business and my industry sector and I’m concerned about missing out on opportunities."

i think this would be a good start, however knowledge is key here and if people don't understand reading about it, won't help them implement

Not sure there's a case for govt intervention here. If their members (who pay membership fees) want this info than industry bodies should be able to provide it. Suggest that businesses tell their industry bodies what they need from them.

There needs to be a number of levels to introduce this and proactive upskill SME's on any topics but particularly in the ever changing and advancing digital space. A series of seminars could be created and then distributed to industry bodies to deliver the training as suggested by a previous poster on this Jillllll on Feb 5.
